What is a day in paradise for you? How would you make it happen? Would you change your life for the better or would you keep it the same? Who would you spend it with? Why would you do it?
These are just some of the questions that I think about. As someone who is living what I would say is a good life. It is something that most do not think about as they complain that their lives are going for the worse. The one thing is if you think that way, that is what is going to happen.
The idea of a day in paradise is giving yourself a step back from your life to be able to change your life. When you take a step back, you are able to see your life as the third persons point of view. To start to use this ability, you will start to listen to your thoughts you have and the words you say. Once you start to do that you will be able to see if you are being positive or negative.
I am retired from the work world and I live with my parents as they are aging and I do not want them to be living in a nursing home. A day in paradise for me is knowing that I am able to help where I can around the house and having the time to write. It is that simple for me and unless I am out of the house I am always there for my parents.
A day in paradise could be just going for a drive listening to your favorite music or sitting at home and enjoying a good book on you day off. They do not have to be a special place because then you will only have it once and a while. It might be taking you kids to the beach or to a sporting event.
You need to make time everyday to be in paradise and the more you do it, your life will change for the good. It could start the first little bit of time in the morning after getting out of bed. If you are single, with someone and or married with kids, that first part of the day sets up the rest of your day. Where tomorrow is not promised, when you wake up, that alone should be the first thing to be thankful for and a thank you to the Creator/God/ or what you believe in for another day. In saying that if you think of waking up as a positive thing then your day in paradise is beginning and the day will be good for you. The reason is because you are starting on a positive note. Then as the challenges arise throughout the day, it will be easier to see the good in them.
There is always going to be mornings that start off on a positive foot is going to be hard, however, just by realizing that you woke up it gives you a chance to change your day. Everyone has the ability to change their lives everyday. That is why everyday is a day in paradise because if you want to change anything in your life you can.
There are small and easy things to do and by staying positive and being thankful for a new day is to enjoy every moment that you have. You will not get a reset for a day and there will be some days when you get bad news that will bring you down. The choice is yours to decide what you are going to do. Live every day as if it was your last because it just maybe.
