The Author's Corner: Memory of Madness

As we grow and change in our lives, we are faced with the fact that our life will come to an end. The physical side that is if you believe you have a soul. When those days come to when our time is up, there is a sadness as we pass through to the next stage of life.

The true madness is that the majority of people have not accepted their death. It is a fact that we die and the thing about it is that we will only experience it once. What we have now is a life to live and it could end at anytime.

This will sound like madness to accept your death, however once you do, your life changes because the fear is gone. The way your life changes is that there is peace in your soul and you will feel lighter. There is the difficulty of accepting this fate, by no means is it easy because that is the last thing that anyone wants to face.

To understand our life could end at any moment, this fact is that we could go to sleep tonight and not wake up in the morning. However, many people do not live like that. Some people when they reach their later years regret that they worked to much and did not get the chance to tell someone that they love when they were alive.

There are so many things that change from day to day. Every morning you wake up and you have that day to be the best person you can be. Every night when I go to bed, I thank God/Creator or whatever you call it for the day. I do not ask to wake up because when my time is up, I will pass from this life. I have already accepted my death and I know that my life has changed since that day.

The day that I accepted my death was when I came to in my dream looking down on my body in 2005 when I was in the hospital in Halifax. I do not know if it was a dream or if I had died. The life I have led since that night could be that I am dead and my soul is continuing on.

That maybe what the true madness is, not knowing if you are dead or not.
