The Author's Corner: The Artist

Artist, we are a different breed even among each other. There are many different types of artists, all the way from written to food. Most of us live a different lifestyle than a normal person with a nine to five job. We work at different times of the day from early mornings to all hours of the night or should I say when we get a creative urge no matter the hour.

When it comes to artists, we show the world how we see it at the time we are in. What I am saying is that artists freeze frame time for others to see. We see through those who practice visual art how the world has changed from many points in history. For the history of visual art, it goes back to the era of cave paintings.

In every branch of the creative tree, we see that it is sometimes hard to know where we are going as a society. The reason for this is because the first people who are attacked when a war or an uprising happens are the artists, then it is the teachers and the librarians. Thus, where there have been many wars since time began, we have lost a great number of works of art because of war. The worse being during World War II in Europe when the Germans burned books, took artwork from galleries just to name a couple things.

It is a shame that things like that happens because it takes away the rich history of the region that it has come from. In the modern world, the artist is less likely to step out onto the world stage since the opinions of those today see that AI work has come to be. For example, there are those who use AI to write books because they lack the ability to create it themselves and get upset when publishing companies do not accept the work.

Even for me as an author, there are people who look at those people who use AI for writing as fraud where they want the title of author but do not want to do the work. The authors like me who create their own work tell the stories that comes to us from our imagination which is guided by the hand of God/the Creator or what have you.

Today the true artists will always be in demand because AI can not put the feeling that the artist can into a piece of work, written and everything else.
