And here we go. The first thought that come to my mind when I think of this title is someone bring news, not to mention, ‘Do not kill the messenger.’ Over the times that have been questionable, when a messenger would give the ruler bad news, the messenger would get the brunt of the ruler’s anger. I feel as a society we have grown from that; however, I have been proven wrong many times in my life. When most people think of messengers there are a few schools of thought. I will touch on two even though there are many.
The first school of thought deals with religion. The books of all the religions speak of angels and prophets or the messengers of God/the Creator. We have read how humanity has viewed these people; the best example I can give is Jesus. These messengers came to our world to spread the word of God/the Creator in which has guided society at the time to better things. For what it is worth, religion has always been a powerful tool for controlling the masses. Our messenger here are the leaders of the religions who read from the texts to their followers.
The second school of thought come from business, much like religion, however without God/the Creator being spoken of. These messengers come in all levels and normally the message comes from the top down. In today’s society, we rely on our business dealing to shape our lives. Many people may say no, however there is business in all forms from the government all the way to the local shops and as well in our education system. The best way to see this is change the word business to money. When there is a market turn down, we are all informed and then the cuts to the budgets happen.
These two schools of thought have been around since there has been a belief in a God/the Creator and most of it is business. This was how society has been able to move forward to reach the lifestyle we have today. As well these two schools of thoughts have started more wars throughout history than most can imagine. They are also the quickest way to separate communities, families, friends and countries. Money and religion, the two greatest of all evils, then there in a distant third is another school of thought and that is politics. Choose your messenger wisely as you may be going to the king to give him bad news.
Stay safe.
