So I finally found time for reading again. Thus this book took me longer to read because I have been busy with my writing career.
Anyway, in this book King takes us on a journey from Roland's younger years when he first got his guns. It takes place when he is in his teens and King makes a young love in it as well.
It starts with coming to a community away from where Roland and his two friends who accompany him are from. The mission for them is to prevent the other side in a battle that is waging in the world from getting oil. There is also some side stories from which King keeps the book as a page turner.
Over the span of time that King has Roland and his friends in that town, there is all types of things going on from the Mayor to a witch who plays a vital role. In all that the book has to offer it was a good read and at the end of the book sets back to the present time when Roland and his new friends who have been on the travel on the beam to the dark tower continue on the journey.
If you have read the first 4 books of the Dark Tower, this one makes you want to read the next one. To which is The Dark Tower 5: Wolves of the Calla and I am looking forward to reading it.
