As the third instalment of the Dark Tower series, King continues to build the characters up. With many twists and turns, it is well written and and keeps you turning the pages. Something that I have seen in this series compared to King's stand alone novels is that there is more of a build up into what is happening.

As the story goes towards the Dark Tower, we see that there is a strange world among reality that King has created. For what it is worth there is the city of Lud where the main characters are split up as Jake is taken by one of the people of Lud and Roland goes after to save him. Eddie and Susannah go to find the mono that will take them forward along the path of the beam.

For what I have said this series is so far a good read and for the first three books I would recommend this read.

The next book is Wizard and Glass which is the 4th book of The Dark Tower series.
