What is an illusion? Much less, is this book an illusion? Is this what would be call real or an illusion created by the mind? Are we all an illusion to God/the Creator as it sleeps? Are we dreaming or are we the dream?
To answer any of these questions is to first understand where we are in life. Where do you find yourself and are you really there? So, to spin it a little more, does time exist in this illusionary world we live in?
As we move forward to answer some of these questions is to know that this world, we are in is real, or what we think is real. We all have minds to think with which makes up assumptions for where we are from and how we got here. We are all born, that is no illusion, and we all die. This is where most of these questions come from when I think of illusions.
Is our death the major illusion? Asking the question brings us to the knowledge that the human brain is still active for some after the time of death. What could be happening during that time is where we slip into a different reality. Our mind is a powerful weapon when we use it in any way. Thus, our illusionary world starts at our death as our soul leaves the physical world.
Our souls, if you believe you have one, do not experience the physical death is what I believe. When we start to question reality and what is an illusion is when the physical death happens or is it that our souls have accepted the death. Yet, what is death? Could it be the end of a chapter in your life’s quest?
For many years I have wondered about these questions, however, I did not start thinking this way until January 26, 2025, when I woke up in the mental ward of the QEII hospital in Halifax. So, my question is, did I die? I remember one thing is that since that time I have been on a path that has led me to the hospital two more times, and I was able to continue to work for fifteen years. When I was diagnosed in Halifax my doctor had said that I would be in and out of hospital and not able to work again for the rest of my life.
Yet, I have achieved a lot since that time, and I can not understand what truly happened to me back then. Is this life that I am living now an illusion as my soul continues to recreate the physical world for my mind? Sometimes I think about all those movies that are about coming back against all the odds as I look back on some twenty years and what I have over come.
What is an illusion? An illusion is whatever you want it to be. You may say that this life is the illusion, it is up to you to decide. For me, as an author, I am the illusion at work.
Stay safe.
