Today I will be talking about reading.

Reading for an author is an important tool as in increases vocabulary and for those authors who are just starting out it also helps with the plot of the book. For what books to read is up to the author to choose from fiction or nonfiction. Both help with the creation of characters and scenes.

For the regular person, reading is important because it keeps the mind active and is a good past time. It has the same benefits for the reader as an author. It is what will keep your imagination active and is in some ways better than watching TV all the time. If you spend 1 hour a day reading it will help with many things in your life. One of the big ones is memory. As well a good book is always something that will let you into a world where you can be a viewer or feel as though you are part of the book.

No matter who your favorite author is, they all started as a beginner. As some people say that once they are done their schooling that they are not going to read another book and that is their choice. With reading it is more than education, it is an escape from the real world and one that you can do any time of the day.

There is a saying that one author said, "Good authors write, great authors read." This is something that is true for authors. The next time you are looking for something to do outside of watching TV or a movie, pick up a book and read.

Next week I will be talking about goals and dreams. Until then stay safe.
