The Author's Corner: Philosophy

As we have known that the greatest thinkers of the past have paved the way for today’s philosophy. The direction has broken into many different fields of thought. There is the philosophy from the author’s you read, and they are not just in fiction as most philosophers today are published under non-fiction.

We can always see where society has taken us from past until now. Every major turn in history has made marks on the human condition. It has always been in philosophy where we have seen these changes. Today, society is in the turning point of where mankind is going. Mostly now in time there are the threats of major wars breaking out all over the world.

This is the world we live in now as it is the eve of 2025. There have been things that have happened in my lifetime that has changed the path of the world that I live in. For me as an author, I have taken my attention away from all media platforms in the way of news. If I want to be filled with negative views, I will let my illness take over and land myself in the mental ward of a hospital.

In this way of not paying attention to what is happening in the world, I have found that my life has taken a turn for the better. Where the negativity from the media fills everyone’s mind and pushes the us and them mentality, which has created most of the problems in the world anyway. It is not hard to watch the news or read other media because it is all over the place from TV, the internet and the papers. The one thing is that you can do it if you pay attention to what you are doing during the day. For me it started with the turning off the TV when I moved out of my parents’ house back in 1997.

Where the world is in a time of great change, there is always a chance that someone will come along and show society its mistakes. This is where philosophy comes in because it is a written record of the deep thinking of the biggest ideas that have come throughout time.

Within time, as all the major religions, the universal God/the Creator or what you call it, is going to come back to judge mankind. Yet, the question of the modern philosophy is, has judgment already happened? Something that is unknown as we do not know.

The days of the greatest thinkers have past as now we learn from the past, however, there are still the unanswered questions that are still debated from a bygone day. The biggest of these questions is why are we here? A question that still holds us at a whim and we will only know when we pass from this world.
